My Thoughts

The ‘Baby Bargain’ was such a good read, it was overall very heartwarming. The plot of this book was very intriguing. So much was happening, there were so many crazy twists and turns up until the very end that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

The book was written flawlessly. The characters were engaging, the plot intriguing, it had a good flow to the story, and the sexual chemistry and tension, oh boy, there was no shortage of that.

I read this book in one day and couldn’t put it down from the very first scene Megan and Adam captured me. They had so much history, so many demons to battle, so many secrets; I had to know what was going to happen!

I love all the drama that kept happening to all of these two too keep bringing them back together but most of all I loved the sexual chemistry, another hot, hot, hot couple of Jennifer’s. I love Meg and Adam J

Throughout the whole book I just wanted them to be together but all the odds were against them.

It’s was a wonderful book, beautiful characters, and fascinating plot.

Bravo to Jennifer Apodaca!

One she knows she isn’t strong enough to refuse.

**The Proposition is an adult contemporary novel and is not intended for younger readers due to mature content.**

My Thoughts

Holy Hotness!! I think that is the only way I can honestly began this review. I could not put this book down. It was so deliciously addictive. Sloane and Kat are hot, hot, hot together.

I have been a Jennifer Lyon fan for a while now I think her writing is amazing. However ‘The Proposition’ really blew my mind. The plot was to die for and the characters strong and yet tortured in their own ways, fighting to help each other, it was a truly tremendous story.

It was written flawlessly and I devoured it, I could not get enough of these characters. When the end came I seriously could have cried because now I have to wait for May for more to this series.

The ending definitely left me hankering for more.

This book was so amazing; I just can’t even put it into words how much I loved it. The characters really came to life for me. I love that Kat is working so hard to be a strong independent woman who can defend herself after so many terrible things have happened to her.

I also love how Sloane is such a powerhouse and gives her what she wants and what she needs. Plus he is one of the hottest characters I have ever ready about. He is so blunt and I love that about him that’s what makes scenes in the book even hotter.

Let me tell you there are no generic sex scenes here, nope this is the real deal. This woman knows how to write about sex and there is no shortage of hotness in this book.

‘The Proposition’ is definitely one of my favorites she has done. Now Kat and Sloane are rivaling Roxy and Key for the top spot for my favorite couple lol!

It was an amazing read and I am DYING for the next one!Show more

Touching Evil Book Review

Touching Evil
Leila Marx Novel #1
Amber Garr
Fantasy/Suspense

Book Description

With one touch, Leila can see it all.

Leila Marx is trying to put her life back together after her fiancé is murdered. When Detective Garrick Pearson enlists her help with a difficult case, she is thankful for the distraction and the opportunity to use her talents as a touch clairvoyant. Leila and Garrick delve into the mystery behind a series of missing teenage girls and mummified corpses while discovering their own growing attraction to each other.

Conner Hoffman is an intriguing lawyer and striking half-demon who enters Leila’s life unexpectedly. Although her visions are terrifying, she is fascinated by his charm and his legacy. When it becomes evident that the murders are linked to a paranormal event, Conner introduces Leila to a world unbeknownst to ordinary society. She suddenly finds herself immersed in supernatural politics, sorcery, and danger as she becomes the killer’s next target.

Staying alive will mean relying on friends, accepting the unbelievable, and trusting in her heart again.

My Thoughts

I really enjoyed ‘Touching Evil’ it was a really unique read and Amber created such strong fascinating characters that drew you into the story along with such a sensational plot.

Girls are being kidnapped and there are absolutely no leads as to where they are being taken and by whom. Then days later an anonymous phone call leads the police to the missing girl’s grave.

She is badly decomposed and seems to be mummified and they can't figure out what is happening to these poor girls, but one thing is for sure; girls keep disappearing.

Detective Garrick called in Leila a clairvoyant to see if she can possibly give them any leads. The case quickly turns into something much darker than the police or Leila can handle by themselves. Leila then stumbles upon some help and understanding from an odd group of supernatural creatures she has only seen on TV. She must accept their help however, to save girls lives, but they cannot involve the police now.

It was a fascinating tale of adventure, suspense and magic. She had some really fascinating characters; the good ones had a lot of heart and great depth to them. The villains were written so dark and demented it will give you goose bumps.

I loved this book. There were supernatural creatures that I had never heard of. So that was pretty cool. I like how they all work together as well. That was a pretty cool idea. Another thing I really liked about Touching Evil’ is that it brought my two favorite genres together paranormal and suspense. I recently read a book that did that and I was blown away and I was thrilled that this one turned out to be a mix of the genres as well.

I really enjoyed the plot and it was a fast-paced, fascinating read. ‘Touching Evil’  is another amazing book from Amber Garr.

The Guardian of the Realm Book Review

The Guardian of the Realm
Krystal George
Genre: Fantasy

Book Description:

The Darkness
Taken when she was just seven years old, Esmeralda has very little memory of her life before the Realm. Power has always been her constant companion, protection has been her only goal, and acceptance by the magic she guards has always been her only wish. That is until the darkness comes... and with it comes the one person who can give her the greatest power of all... love.

The Light
Losing his mother at a young age, Eric has always been the responsible one; the strong one. He'd had to be. His sister Kaitlyn had needed him. Now with Kaitlyn missing he is thrown into a world of secrets and deception. A world that until this moment he knew nothing about... a world that he is more a part of than he could have ever known. With darkness descending and time running out, can he become the man he is destined to be? Or will he fail and lose the girl he has come to love?

The Realm
Beyond the doorway is a World of Enchantment and Myth. A world that once entered will grant you any wish your heart may desire... but only if you can get beyond... the Guardian.

My Thoughts:

I really enjoyed ‘The Guardian of the Realm’. It was unlike any faerie tale I have ever read. I have always been interested in faeries ever since I was a little girl and this book really sparked my interest in this genre again. I thought the book was well written and I loved the plot. It took the whole good versus evil and added some extra flair to it. I really loved the way Krystal included not only faeries and humans, but always demons and gremlins. She had all different types of creatures and it was very action packed.

There were plenty of twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat throughout this novel. I really loved Essie, she was my favorite character, and something in her really spoke to me. I really love when authors have the ability to make a character do that for someone.  It’s very magical which is quite fitting for this book.

I think Krystal is very talented; she will go far in her writing. She has already shown such dramatic differences in the two novels that I have read by her. If you didn’t know otherwise you would probably think they were written by two different people. Talent like that is rare and I feel rather privileged to have stumbled upon it.

The plot of this novel was brilliant, the characters showed incredible depth and I was greatly impressed with the outcome of this book, I really feared it was a lost cause and Essie was doomed. I was so thrilled that the end was happy.

I love the magical, mystical but yet incredibly dangerously dark world that Krystal created in ‘The Guardian of the Realm’. I am definitely a big fan of this book and I am looking forward to more novels from Krystal George.

Welcome to Prison...Enjoy Your Stay Book Review

Welcome to Prison…Enjoy Your Stay
Hugh Yonn

Book Description:

Prison is not all about beatings, rapes, homemade knives, and tattoos. There are some pretty funny characters locked up behind those walls. And the only way to get to know them, is to become one of them.

I know, there has to be a better way.

Welcome to Prison—Enjoy Your Stay. Tales of high adventure and broken dreams. Some lies included.

My Thoughts:

I thought ‘Welcome to Prison…Enjoy Your Stay’ was a nice follow up sequel. In the first book, ‘Shoulda Robbed a Bank’ I did find myself wondering more than a few time, what happened while he was in prison and just where did he end up. So I was more than happy to get the follow up novel. In this installment we get to see what went on while Hugh was locked up. Which was much different from what most people believe, it wasn’t as brutal as everyone thinks. Of course it was in no way fun either. Hugh survived it by just being in his best behavior and doing what he was supposed to do every day and of course by getting high.  That’s right you can get weed in prison, it shouldn’t really shock any of you, it doesn’t shock me. Today you can pretty much get anything in prison.

I thought it was written nicely and flowed pretty well. There were a few spots of repetition that could have been left out and the ending was a bit abrupt for me. I would have liked to read about Hugh getting out of prison but other than those few minor details, I thought the book was good. It was a short read and I read it in a day which is always nice. It was fast paced and I enjoyed the read.

I hope to read more from Hugh he seems to have seen a lot in his life and I enjoy reading about it.

Another good read from Hugh Yonn.

The Willows Book Review

The Willows
Krystal George
Genre: Paranormal/ Suspense

Book Description:

Life is easy when you have everything you want; great friends, a boyfriend who loves you, a happy family that supports you, brothers that both protect and annoy you. I had all of that… once.
That was before the accident. That was before the murder. That was before… The Willows.

Evelyn Magwire now has a choice to make. Does she turn her back on the mysteries that have consumed her life, or does she face the darkness and find the truth? When her brother comes up missing, the choice is made for her. Forced on a path where her friends become her enemies and her enemies become her friends, Evie learns that the changes happening to herself are the scariest of all. She’s not sure she will ever be the same again… Because some changes are forever… and bloodlust… never dies.

My Thoughts:

‘The Willows’ was a great novel. I love the way the story was told. ‘The Willows’ really surprised me. I didn’t even see the plot coming. The way the story began I thought it was going to be a murder mystery/ thriller. However that is not what it turned out to be. A shocking twist spun me into a dark work of paranormal adventure. I really thought from the beginning it was going to be about a girl rebuilding her life after a devastating accident that resulted in the death of her parents. Then wham the action started. Her brother disappeared and in her quest to find him she discovers a very secret and very dark world that is so dangerous it could kill her and her loved ones.

I think the story was written flawlessly and I really enjoyed it and loved the unique characters. Evie is such a strong heroine, I think plenty of people will flock to her fan club. I also really loved the setting of the story it was really creative and unlike anything I have read before.

‘The Willows’ gave a nice paranormal twist to a murder mystery. I really thoroughly enjoyed the book. I think girls will of course swoon over Remy and Sevren; they are the typical bad guys. One is kind of good and the other is totally bad and yet they are both irresistible. Girls will eat them up!

I loved the fact that it wasn’t your typical vampire story. Remy and Sevren were fighting over Evie but she wasn’t head over heels in love with either of them or dying to be a vampire. She just wanted a normal life and to find out what happened to her brother. She wanted these vampires gone. It gives the story more edge. Yes they did have power over her; using their magic so that is a problem but still I loved it the new view.

It was a great story and I am a big fan. The ending left me hankering for more and I am praying I get more of this story.

I will be keeping my eye out for more from Krystal!!!

The Angel Creek Brothers :)

Alright so I thought we could have a little discussion today, involving the infamouse Angel Creek brothers. As you all know I am a big fan of Ada Adams and the world she has created here!! So it occured to me today as I was comparing Razor and Sebastian in my head that I would like to know what your guys thoughts are. Are you more into Sebastian's emotional, moody, hopeless romantic personality? Or do you go more for Razor's fun-loving, care-free, bad boy type thing? For me it's kind of a tough call but I think I would have to go with Razor, I can't quite explain why but there is just something about his quirky smart ass remarks that just get me going everytime. He can always find the fun in things! Although he does turn on his seriousness when he needs to and that is what I love about him!! Now don't get me wrong here ladies I love Sebastian as well but him and Dawn are just so perfect together, I'll just let them be haha. Although I do think he would be very caring and romantic as a boyfriend. So tell me ladies who makes you swoon more Razor or Sebastian????
