Catching the Bear
Ashlee Sinn

Book Description

Bo Callaghan understands his role. As the youngest brother of the clan’s alpha, his womanizing ways and zest for life has helped him live up to those lack of expectations. So when he’s asked to assist the International Shifter Coalition with an important project, it’s no surprise when he fails to deliver. Now Bo must help a mysterious human woman convince the other shifters in Alaska to get on board with the big reveal. But all Bo can focus on are her charming ways, the bright blue eyes, and the raging fire she’s ignited in his bear.

McKenzie Parker is no stranger to shifters. A human with secrets of her own, she’s worked around them her whole life. Yet despite having a white tiger as one of her oldest friends, she is intimidated when she first meets the giant, sexy grizzly shifter with a bad reputation and an addicting smile. McKenzie’s secret skills may help her convince others what they need to do, but her attraction to Bo cannot be explained by magic. Falling hard, she worries about opening her heart and letting someone in again. Especially someone like Bo Callaghan.

*This story contains strong sexual themes, sensual shifters, and delicious romance for insatiable appetites. It is intended for a mature audience. This is a stand-alone novella with no cliff-hanger. *

My Thoughts

Oh my goodness! I cannot even begin to express how much I loved this book, Bo and Kenzi and my favorite pairing so far in this series. To begin with I was not a big shifter fan, but I like Ashlee Sinn so I wanted to check out this series and I am seriously addicted to it. I ate this book up. The plot line was great, the passion between Bo and Kenzi was insatiable and sizzling. I definitely recommend this book, it is HOT, HOT, HOT! Bo is so damn dreamy, makes me want a shifter of my own and that is saying something let me tell you! I couldn't put this book down so if you are looking for a book with a lot of love, suspense, and a book you will read in one sitting then this is a winner. A must read!

The Seven Year Dress by Paulette Mahurin Book Review

The Seven Year Dress
Paulette Mahurin

Book Description

One of the darkest times in human history was the insane design and execution to rid the world of Jews and “undesirables.” At the hands of the powerful evil madman Adolf Hitler, families were ripped apart and millions were slaughtered. Persecution, torture, devastation, and enduring the unthinkable remained for those who lived. This is the story of one woman who lived to tell her story. This is a narrative of how a young beautiful teenager, Helen Stein, and her family were torn asunder, ultimately bringing her to Auschwitz. It was there she suffered heinous indignity at the hands of the SS. It was also there, in that death camp, she encountered compassion, selfless acts of kindness, and friendship. Written by the award-winning, best-selling author of His Name Was Ben, comes a story of the resilience of the human spirit that will leave you thinking about Helen Stein and The Seven Year Dress for years to come after the last page is shut.

My Thoughts

What a riveting, emotional, captivating read. Paulette is one author that never disappoints. She has such a talent for taking fact and blending it with fiction in such a way that I have never seen done before. I was immediately captured by the characters she created, they way their stories were told and they way the events unfolded were emotionally devastating. Even though I knew what was to come I still could not stop myself from the emotional outpouring that happened with the characters fate. This book is an absolute must read. I cannot even express how much I believe that everyone should have to read this book it really helps open the eyes on so many terrible acts were hidden and shut out. Light should be shed, knowledge is power, and Paulette brings that power with this riveting novel.

My Thoughts

I usually am not a big fan of shifter novels, but I totally love this series. The first book was amazing and this one didn't disappoint. Scarlett and Brennan's tale of forbidden romance is addictive, sizzling, and captivating. Not to mention an adventure packed plot. In this thickened plot the humans are the villains and let me be the first to say I was truly disgusted by the humans in this story and was happy when they got what they deserved. I truly did love the characters and enjoyed seeing more of these characters. I cannot wait to read more from this series. I highly recommend!

The Goblin's Daughter by Krystal George Book Review

The Goblin's Daughter
Krystal George

Book Description

Change.

It wasn’t a concept that Gianna has had to deal with over the years. She was used to being the center of attention. That was until Sophia and Drew showed up on the island and ruined things. Now everything has changed.

With Mitch gone and Celeste not on her side, Gianna begins to feel darkness creeping into her light, causing shadows and doubts to poison everything she has ever loved. Finding new friends isn’t always the answer, especially when her new friends aren’t what they appear to be and know more about her than they should.

In a world where trust doesn’t come easy and power can be used for good or evil, Gianna must struggle to find her place. Is it on the island that she feels is a part of her, or with a father she has never known? Will she give up everything for a taste of that power? And if she does… which side will win her heart?

My Thoughts

I did not see this plot coming at all! I loved this story, Gianna's story was so intense, tragic, and a page turner. There were other character twist's that I never saw coming.  This was a great read that I was constantly surprised with. Gianna really had to work through some really dark things to find herself and really find her true calling and that was really intriguing to read about. I would recommend this book to every paranormal reader out there.
